Computer Vision / ML Engineering Intern
Spring internship on production computer vision: detection, tracking and edge inference for real deployments.
What you would do
- Train and evaluate detection and tracking models in PyTorch on real footage from agricultural and security deployments.
- Build the small tools around a model that make it usable: dataset checks, evaluation scripts, export to ONNX, a demo that runs.
- Take one bounded piece of work from a description to something running, with a weekly check-in and otherwise on your own.
- Write down what you did so the next person can reproduce it.
What we screen for
The screening exercise measures exactly these three things.
- Hands-on PyTorch. You can read a training loop, spot what is wrong with it, and explain what a change would do.
- One computer vision project you can demo and explain in detail, including the parts that went badly.
- Evidence that you finish things. Something you carried to done without anyone managing you.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a degree program in computer science, engineering or a related field.
- Eligible to work in the United States, either as a domestic student or through CPT with your institution's approval.
- Able to commit a consistent schedule of up to 20 hours per week during the term.
Not assessed
- GPA. It is neither requested nor considered.
